മലയാളക്കരയെ കണ്ണീരണിയിക്കുന്ന ഓഗസ്റ്റ 7  കേരള ജനതയെ കണ്ണീരണിയിച്ച്‌ വീണ്ടും ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 7. കഴിഞ്ഞ വര്‍ഷം ഇതേ ദിനത്തില്‍ കവളപ്പാറയില്‍ അപകടമുണ്ടായപ്പോള്‍ ഈ വര്‍ഷം അകടത്തിന് സാക്ഷിയായത് ഇടുക്കിയും കോഴിക്കോടുമാണ്. മണ്ണിടിച്ചിലായും വിമാന അപകടമായും ഓഗസ്റ്റ് 7 മലയാളക്കരയ്ക്ക് ദുരന്ത ദിനമായി മാറി. 2019 ഓഗസ്റ്റ് ഏഴിനായിരുന്നു മലപ്പുറം കവളപ്പാറയില്‍ ഉരുള്‍പ്പൊട്ടലും മണ്ണിടിച്ചിലുമുണ്ടായത്. അപകടത്തില്‍ ഒരു പ്രദേശം പൂര്‍ണ്ണമായും മണ്ണിനടിയിലായി. ദുരന്തഭൂമിയില്‍ അന്‍പത്തി ഒന്‍പത് പേരുടെ ജീവനാണ് പൊലിഞ്ഞത്. 48 പേരുടെ മൃതശരീരം കണ്ടെടുത്തു. 11 പേരുടെ മൃതദേഹം ഇതുവരെ വീണ്ടെടുത്തിട്ടില്ല. കവളപ്പാറയുടെ ഓര്‍മ്മ ദിനത്തില്‍ കേരളക്കര ഉണര്‍ന്നത് മറ്റൊരു ദുരന്തവാര്‍ത്ത കേട്ടുകൊണ്ടായിരുന്നു. മൂന്നാര്‍ രാജമലയില്‍ തൊഴിലാളികള്‍ താമസിച്ചിരുന്ന ലയത്തിന് മുകളിലേക്ക് മണ്ണിടിഞ്ഞുവീണായിരുന്നു അപകടം. 80 ല്‍ അധികം ആളുകള്‍ മണ്ണിനടിയില്‍പ്പെട്ടുവെന്നാണ് റിപ്പോര്‍ട്ടുകള്‍ നിരവധിയാളുകളെ രക്ഷിച്ചെങ്കിലും അതിലധികമാളുകള്‍ ഇപ്പോഴും മണ്ണിനടിയിലാണ്. ഇതിന്റെ ആഘാതത്തില്‍ നിന്നും വിട്ടുമാറുന്നതിന് മുന്‍പാണ് വീണ്ടുമൊര...
